Welcome to the Technocracy Technate website. We will need all interested parties to assist us in making this information known to the public.
History and Purpose of Technocracy: author Howard Scott, the origin of the technate design and the concept of energy accounting in a non monetary energy based system (the Technical Alliance)
For a robot reading of that information on YouTube in three segments, 'History and Purpose of Technocracy' click here. This information will give a good understanding of the historic background of the Technical Alliance information.

A description of energy accounting originally from Tech. Inc.
A short history of concepts of Biophysical economics, its origins and contributors from Encyclopedia of Earth... E.o.E. a peer reviewed topic edited information source Biophysical economics

"Two Intellectual Systems: Matter-energy and the Monetary Culture" (summary, by M. King Hubbert) During a 4-hour interview with Stephen B Andrews, on March 8, 1988, Dr. Hubbert handed over a copy of the following, which was the subject of a seminar he taught, or participated in, at MIT Energy Laboratory on Sept 30, 1981.

"The world's present industrial civilization is handicapped by the coexistence of two universal, overlapping, and incompatible intellectual systems: the accumulated knowledge of the last four centuries of the properties and interrelationships of matter and energy; and the associated monetary culture which has evolved from folkways of prehistoric origin.

"The first of these two systems has been responsible for the spectacular rise, principally during the last two centuries, of the present industrial system and is essential for its continuance. The second, an inheritance from the pre-scientific past, operates by rules of its own having little in common with those of the matter-energy system. Nevertheless, the monetary system, by means of a loose coupling, exercises a general control over the matter-energy system upon which it is superimposed.

"Despite their inherent incompatibilities, these two systems during the last two centuries have had one fundamental characteristic in common, namely, exponential growth, which has made a reasonably stable coexistence possible. But, for various reasons, it is impossible for the matter-energy system to sustain exponential growth for more than a few tens of doublings, and this phase is by now almost over. The monetary system has no such constraints, and, according to one of its most fundamental rules, it must continue to grow by compound interest. This disparity between a monetary system which continues to grow exponentially and a physical system which is unable to do so leads to an increase with time in the ratio of money to the output of the physical system. This manifests itself as price inflation. A monetary alternative corresponding to a zero physical growth rate would be a zero interest rate. The result in either case would be large-scale financial instability."

"With such relationships in mind, a review will be made of the evolution of the world's matter-energy system culminating in the present industrial society. Questions will then be considered regarding the future:

* What are the constraints and possibilities imposed by the matter-energy system and/or how can human society be sustained at near optimum conditions?

* Will it be possible to so reform the monetary system that it can serve as a control system to achieve these results?

* If not, can an accounting and control system of a non-monetary nature be devised that would be appropriate for the management of an advanced industrial system?

"It appears that the stage is now set for a critical examination of this problem, and that out of such inquiries, if a catastrophic solution can be avoided, there can hardly fail to emerge what the historian of science, Thomas S. Kuhn, has called a major scientific and intellectual revolution." Source.

Information for our Spanish speaking friends.
Yes the Hispanic world is very much a part of the picture here, and we appreciate your participation in making the design ideas known broadly to your population and other groups as well. Mexico and Central America and the upper Amazon river basin are all a part of the North American continent and integral to the technate design.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l4EkeQgXZ4E
The reason the technate area includes this vast area? It makes for a bigger broader resource base, and therefore a greater diversity in resources and consumables for ALL citizens of the North American technate. These facts are wonderful, but I think the information about the Technocracy concept needs to be put into a language that makes it look sexy, yes, we need to get hip with the times if we expect that people will become interested enough to investigate our findings. Do you have any new ideas? ie I thought the film Zeitgeist, Addendum did a good job of introducing the concept, without even saying the word Technocracy, which is alright by me, because most people have simply never heard of the word before, and I realize that people fear what they don't know.

I agree that the intro can be worked on some more. I'll try and make some suggestions and maybe put something together myself. I'm not so sure about the rest of your comment Jonathon. There is no connection with Fresco, The Venus Project, or Zeitgeist. They are completely unrelated to the Technocracy Technate Design for North America.

That is about the size of it above ^. There is no connection, except that Fresco once did some illustrations for some Technocracy technate publications around the mid 1940's and learned a little about energy economics. He was briefly a member around that time and then dropped his membership, and to this day accuses the 'first integrated membership group (probably) in the U.S.' of being against or favoring some groups of people over over groups.
TechInc. group is an open membership organization and always was since its beginning in 1934.
How it is that Fresco has the opinion he has is unknown,? ego? competing group? uninformed? - but there is no connection with his opinion and the technate design. Zero. He also does not advocate energy accounting as designed by Hubbert and Scott ... energy economics.

Also the Zeitgeist groups are banned in many places in Europe on social networking sites. Reason? Oddball conspiracy stuff about international bankers, secret sneaky groups, theories about the Fed being in cahoots with aliens etc etc... stuff like this: New World Order chart for the gullible.

So Johnathon, though we appreciate your interest, it is suggested that you probably are in the wrong place with posting on this site. You may want to go to the Zeitgeist Movement site of which we are not connected in any way, and will never be connected... which has many many people involved.
